Experienced Optician - Livonia Office with some travel to Ypsilanti office

Fortney Eyecare Associates is looking to build their optician team!
We are looking for an experienced optician that is great at customer service, organization, time management, and critical thinking. We are looking for a candidate that offers a minimum of one year of optician experience, as well as one year of sales or comparable experience.
Job duties will include:
- Dispensing of glasses and contacts
- Adjustments and repairs of glasses
- Ordering of glasses and contacts
- Sales, frame styling, measurements, product knowledge
- Multiline phone system
- Insurance knowledge
- Lab duties like checking in finished jobs, communication with labs, and in-house edging
- Inventory
- Team tasks and some amount of cross training
Pay: From $20.00 per hour based on experience PLUS commission potential

Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday (Saturday availability a plus)
Education: High school or equivalent (required) plus completed optician training.
Experience: Recent experience working as an Optician required, as well as a minimum of 1 year of sales/customer service experience.
