About the Practice
Visualeyes is a high-end Optical Office in Buffalo NY that carries a majority of exclusive eyewear lines. We are looking to hire a full-time Optician who is comfortable with patient interaction and selling eyewear to assist customers with selecting eyewear. What You’ll Do:
As an optician in our practice, your regular duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Receive our customers' prescriptions for eyeglasses or contact lenses from our Doctors of Optometry,
- Pre-test patients and take eyewear measurements and adjust eyewear to ensure a good fit
- Understanding our products and familiarity with sales so that you can educate patients about their eyewear options and assist them in selecting eyeglass frames and lenses that work best for their needs
- Clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to: answering calls, verifying Insurances, submitting lab orders, scheduling appointments, and vision and insurance billing
What You’ll Need:
- Licensed Optician with a 2 year degree
- A friendly personality and great customer service skills
- Team player mentality with a strong work ethic and multitasking skills
- Vision Insurance, optometry, and medical knowledge are a plus!
Compensation:
- We offer a competitive pay of $27/hourly
- We offer a 401K plan
- Health Benefits which we pay $300 towards their plan
- One week vacation the first year then 2 weeks after the first year is completed.
