Licensed Optician - Full-Time - Private Practice - Newport, OR
About the Position
We are looking for a motivated and preferably experienced Optician with excellent customer service skills. Must be friendly, outgoing, and able to work well within a team dynamic. Computer proficiency is a must, and prior experience with EHRs would be helpful. Job responsibilities will include:
- working directly with patients selecting frames
- ordering lenses, posting charges
- knowledge of insurance and applicable allowables
- limited insurance billing
- collecting payments
- repairing and adjusting eyewear
- frame stock reordering.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous experience in frame buying and frame board management would also be helpful.
- ABO certification would be ideal, but not necessary.
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Optical Experience: 1 year (Required)
Job Overview
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
- 8 hour shift, 8 am to 4 pm
