About Our Practice
Great opportunity for Associate Optometrist to join our team in beautiful South San Francisco, CA. We utilize state of the art technology including Marco digital refracting system, and easy-to-use electronic records. Above all, we looking for a friendly, efficient optometrist to cover 1-2 weekdays per week, and 1-2 Saturdays per month. Hours are 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM with a 1 hour lunch. We are also open to daily split shifts on weekdays for doctors who live locally (need to fill the 2:30pm-6:30pm shift). Reasonable patient flow with exams booked every 30 minutes. New grads and experienced doctors are both welcome! We offer a competitive per diem, with a production bonus. With good performance, an increase in workdays is definitely possible. Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eyecare emergencies
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
