Village Visions has been serving New York‘s Skaneateles, Cortland, and surrounding areas since 1974! The eye doctors at Village Visions believe in looking at the big picture when it comes to our patients’ eye health, so we take the time to get to know them, their eye care history and their vision needs We are looking for a Full-time or Part-time Optometrist to join the practice!
What You’ll Need:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree (or pending)
- Valid VA state license to practice optometry (or pending)
- Our ideal candidate is charismatic, has a strong background and level of expertise, and strives to provide great, personalized patient care every day

Our new doctor can anticipate providing glaucoma and cataract care prominently in addition to practicing general optometry! To ensure that our new OD can provide their best care, we’ll provide a ramping-up period as well for them to become acclimated to our patients and practice.
Environment: Our new OD will always have a strong team supporting them every day. They will be working alongside a scribe, optician, and our incredible front office staff. Likewise, they will have everything they need to be successful with our state-of-the-art technology, including:

- Optos
- matrix
- autorefractor
- 2 phoropters
Schedule & Compensation: We know how important patient scheduling is in allowing our doctors the time and care necessary to treat each patient thoroughly. As such, we only schedule 8-10 patients a day! Likewise, to compensate our doctors for their incredible work, we offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
