Join an eye care team with a vision. Dittman Eyecare is the premier provider for eye health and vision care in Western Pennsylvania, with offices in Butler, Cranberry, and Grove City. At Dittman Eyecare, we are proud to take great care of our patients’ needs, taking time to really hear their concerns, and using the latest equipment to provide outstanding service and comprehensive care. We are constantly updating our knowledge and technology to provide services and products that aren’t available elsewhere, and patients are relieved and grateful when we can solve a problem that no one else has figured out. We are able to do this by offering services that include but are not limited to IPL, TearCare, Myopia Management, Scleral Lenses, Neurolens, plus full-scope medical eye care and routine vision services. The hours promote work-life balance with only 2 evenings until 7 and no weekends. We offer health insurance, profit sharing 401k, medical malpractice, vacation days, and state licensing fees. Salary range is approximately $115,000 to $180,000. Along with hiring an optometrist, we are investing now to build a strong and capable team that will allow us to grow. This team includes 2-3 well trained scribes per doctor who do all pre-testing, specialized testing as needed, prepare the exam room, enter all information into the EHR, schedule further exams and testing and then escorts the patient to the optical as needed. This flow allows you to truly concentrate on the patient and not on entering data or running a piece of an equipment!
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Perform speciality Ccare or potentially add new speciality services
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eyecare emergencies
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid Pennsylvania license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
