We are searching for a talented optometrist with a passion for patient service to join our unique and growing practice. As an optometrist, you will be expected to use your skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient screening on our telehealth remote platform. Your duties will include patient interviews, prescribing products for various ocular conditions, and directing patients to treatment locations, as necessary.
To qualify for this role, you must be state-licensed in Texas and possess in-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders, conditions, and treatment. The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Optometrist Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough vision screening for conditions not requiring hands-on examination
• Identify the patient’s visual alertness, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination
• Diagnose ocular problems, such as presbyopia and dry eye conditions
• Prescribe medications
• Maintain accurate medical files for all patients
• Promote eye health by teaching patients about proper eye care techniques
• Record all diagnosis and treatment plans including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions
· Perform regular follow-ups with patients requiring prescriptions
Optometrist Requirements:
• Doctor of optometry (O.D.) degree
• Must possess a state-issued license from Texas for O.D. and optometry
• A minimum of 2 years ‘experience as an Optometrist
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• In-depth knowledge of eye-related disorders and conditions
• Customer service oriented with excellent analytical skills
