About Our Practice
Two location boutique practice founded in 2001. We pride ourselves in comprehensive eyecare and exceptional service by our doctors and staff in a warm and comfortable environment. Our locations in Arlington, VA and DuPont in Washington, DC are prime office and retail centers in the Washington Metro Area. We accept most medical and vision plans, excluding Medicaid. Our patient demographics are highly educated individuals, typical of the Washington market, and age range for the majority of our patients between 23-65.
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
We are searching for a personable and talented OD with excellent communication skills to build a long-lasting relationship with our patients. The ideal OD should have an interest in primary care and delivering medical eye care, with particular strength in glaucoma, diabetes, cornea and dry eyes. Our office is equipped with all of the latest technology, including visual fields, fundus camera, meibography, OCT and our new recent acquisition of IPL.
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of vision and medical billing
