As optometrists we are often the health practitioners that see our patients regularly and are responsible for the detection, diagnosis and, depending on jurisdiction, management of glaucoma. Ideally, we want to detect and manage as early as possible in the disease process, prior to extensive nerve or field loss but this generates significant diagnostic uncertainty because glaucoma is usually a slow progressing disease and the early signs are subtle. In this space, OCT, OCT-A and the trend-based analysis of dense data cubes can provide us with the information required to inform our diagnostic decision making, improving patient outcomes.

The session will showcase how ZEISS Glaucoma Workplace can be used as the centerpiece of a busy glaucoma clinic within a community optometric clinic. Case histories will be used to illustrate how Glaucoma Workplace helps minimize testing times through an efficient patient journey whilst maximizing data-driven patient care.
