WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU
As you use the Website and our Services, we will collect information from you directly, automatically, and passively. The types of information that we collect fall under two general categories: personally identifiable information ("PII") and non-personally identifiable information ("non-PII"). PII consists of any information that can be used to specifically identify you as an individual, whereas non-PII consists of aggregate information or any information that does not reveal your identity. This information may be obtained from you, a third party, or through your use of our Services.
Information We Collect Directly
- Information About You. When you register or subscribe to any of our Services, including Virtual Events, we may collect a wide variety of information about you, including PII (your answers to our proprietary questionnaire, your resume, your job listings, your job applications, etc.) and we may use your PII to help connect you with employers, jobs or services you may be interested in, or potential employees for your job listings, as applicable. Our internal recruiting team may contact you directly about these opportunities. Additionally, all information from a Job Seeker account will be viewable by Employers if you apply to the Employer's job listing or direct message the Employer.
- Purchase Information. To process purchases, we may require your name, address, phone number, email address and credit card information. Such information is used primarily to process your order or as otherwise described herein. Credit card transactions are processed through industry standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and/or strong encryption (3DES) by a third party, which only uses your information for that purpose.
- Emails and Telephone Calls. We require an email address and telephone number from you when you register for our Services. We use your email for authentication, transactional (e.g. order confirmation, refund and renewal processing, applications to job listings, recruiting activities, etc.), and promotional (e.g. newsletters, new product offerings, special discounts, event notifications, special third-party offers, etc.) purposes. E-mail messages we send you may contain code that enables our database to track your usage of the e-mails, including whether the email was opened and what links (if any) were clicked. If you would rather not receive promotional emails from us, you may at any time opt-out using the links within the promotional email itself. We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the Eyes On Eyecare Services, such as service announcements and administrative messages, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them. We may also contact you by telephone or text message (including to any wireless number you may provide to us) solely in connection with Eyes On Eyecare Services. If you would rather not receive telephone calls or text messages from us, you may ask to be removed from our contact list. If you are an Employer however, we do require a phone number linked to your account to continue to use our Service so that we may provide better customer service to you. We fully comply with the requirements of the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. We use the GPS location service through your mobile carrier or computer device to help us determine your location. We collect this information and use it to assist in providing our Services. Should you choose to directly contact us, we will collect your name and any contact information you may provide us.
- Demographic Data. Demographic data (e.g., date of graduation, location, desired income, profession, etc.) is also collected at our site. We use this data to tailor our visitors' experience at our site, showing them content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences. Some of this information may be shared with advertisers on a non-personally identifiable basis.
- Online Survey Data. We may periodically conduct voluntary member surveys. We encourage our members to participate in such surveys because they provide us with important information regarding the improvement of our Services. You may also volunteer for certain surveys that we may offer to our Users, and any additional rules regarding the conduct of such surveys will be disclosed to you prior to your participation. We do not link the survey responses to any PII, and all responses are anonymous.
- Public Forums and Blogs. Our blog contains posts which are relevant to employment and human resources and is available to our Users and visitors. Any information that is disclosed in the comments section of any post becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose any PII. Please consult the community guidelines for each Eyes On Eyecare discussion board, including this Privacy Policy and the Eyes On Eyecare Terms of Service when posting comments on them for other specific information. To request removal of your personal information from our blog for any reason after you voluntarily input such information, call us at the number listed below, or email us at the address listed below. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information, in which case we will let you know if we are unable to do so.

This information is collected and stored on an aggregate basis.
Information We Collect Passively
We use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to collect information about your use of the Website and our Services on an aggregate basis so that we may recognize you and your device and improve the Service. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or other device by websites that you visit. Cookies are widely used in order to make websites and other applications work, or work more efficiently, and help them remember certain information and recognize your internet browser. Cookies may last until you close your browser ("session" cookies) or over repeat visits ("persistent" cookies).

They are capable of tracking your browser across other sites and building up a profile of your interests. This may impact the content and messages you see on other websites you visit. If you do not allow these cookies, you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.
