Comprehensive Ophthalmologist - Eugene, OR

Description

We are a physician owned practice recruiting a part or full-time comprehensive ophthalmologist with strong clinical skills, collegiality, and patient rapport for our 3 MD, 3 OD practice and affiliated all-physician owned ASCs. PCVI has served the needs of the community for over 30 years; our practice performs over 2500 cataracts/year and has a brand new Eugene home office with 18 exam rooms, a cutting-edge imaging & diagnostic suite, Ziemer Z8, Zeiss Visumax+MEL-80, Verion intraoperative axis & centration alignment, RxSight light delivery device, SLT and G6 lasers, and access to 3 surgical centers. This role allows you to see patients with a wide variety of anterior segment needs, as well as participate in mentoring through our fellowship program. Experienced ophthalmologists and new graduates welcome; experience and interest in eyelid surgery is desirable. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus. Ramp-up of surgical volume is straightforward as we have a strong referring network from over 35 regional optometrists, the managing physician would like to cut back to 60% clinical time, and one of the other ophthalmologists would like to cut back on travel clinics to Roseburg (a highly enriched cataract need area) as well. We are committed to delivering high-quality and compassionate patient care, excellent patient experience, superior staff morale and hope you are too.

You must have or obtain the following:

• MD or DO

• Valid state license to practice in Oregon

• Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills

You will also enjoy:

· A competitive base salary with productivity bonus plan, and a clear path to partnership in the practice within 12-18 months if desired

· A comprehensive benefit package currently including relocation assistance, medical & dental insurance, 401k with match, and assistance with loan repayment if desired (including hiring through a nonprofit entity that qualifies for and can enable loan forgiveness through the PSLF program)

· A strong network of peers and mentors that fosters professional development

· ASC ownership available in each ASC (no private equity, hospital, or chain ownership at present or planned, as existing physicians are all in the 40s and have long time horizons); ASC shares could be purchased within 6-12 months of joining if desired

· Continuing Education support

· Coverage of AAO dues, Oregon licensure, DEA, Professional Liability Insurance

- Choice of paid hospital call or no hospital call

- Only 2 or 3 weeks of community call a year with tech support

- Upto 13 weeks of vacation possible with full-time benefits; if more is desired, part-time position is also possible

- Costco membership and athletic club membership
