We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and licensed Optician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of optical principles, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses to patients based on optometric prescriptions.
- Accurately measure and record patient measurements, including pupillary distance and frame fitting.
- Adjust and repair eyewear to ensure proper fit and function.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
- Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet their individual needs and preferences.
- Process orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong patient relationships.
- Adhere to all relevant safety and compliance regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Teach patients how to properly insert, remove and care for contact lenses
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- AZ Optical License Required
- 1 years of experience as an Optician in a retail or clinical setting preferred.
- Current certification from the American Board of Opticianry (ABO) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of optical principles, including lens types, frame fitting, and contact lens materials.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficient in the use of optical equipment, including lensometers and other relevant tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
