Overview:
Stamford Ophthalmology is seeking a licensed Optician with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for eye care. We are a 6-doctor practice with a well-established Optical Shop and loyal patients. We have a vast patient demographic and thus a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities include assisting patients in selecting eyewear lens ordering (Visionweb and Nassau), repairs and adjustments, frame ordering/frame board management, and communicating effectively with office staff and doctors to provide the best patient care. We have an in-house lab with new Santinelli equipment. Lens edging experience is a plus but not a requirement. We take EyeMed insurance but are otherwise self-pay only. This is currently a single Optician practice so we are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter. Would be open to hearing from non-licensed optical employees with at least 1 year optical selling experience.
