Overview
We are seeking a skilled and personable Licensed Optician to join our growing optometry office in Hudson, NY. As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in providing top-notch care to our patients while helping us expand our services. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, customer-focused, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret prescriptions to recommend appropriate eyewear solutions.
- Assist patients in selecting frames that fit both their vision needs and personal style.
- Input orders for eyewear and process billing for both vision and medical plans.
- Handle contact lens ordering and provide clear, thorough instructions for new contact lens wearers.
- Experience with finishing lab processes is a plus (but not required).
Requirements:
- Valid Optician license in New York State.
- Strong technical knowledge of optical products and prescription analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with patients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience with vision and medical billing is preferred.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

Why You’ll Love this Opportunity
Compensation: $50,000 to $65,000 per year based on experience and benefits package
Expected hours: 40 hrs per week
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Wednesday (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
