Optician - Part Time - Lockport, NY
Looking for a part-time optician to grow with our practice. We currently have one full-time optician who works 4-days per week, and will be switching to Monday-Thursday in April. We are looking for a part-time optician to assist him on Mondays and be the solo optician on Fridays. Dr. Shaw practices behavioral optometry and practices full-scope medical optometry with a vision therapy specialty, which would involve the doctor commonly prescribing spectacles with prism and bifocals. Looking to hire with a start date in April. Our optical currently has 700 frames and we are expanding our independent frame line inventory, while limiting frame lines from large corporate companies, in order to differentiate ourselves in the ever-growing optical world. We have brought in new lens technology, Neurolens, to better serve our patients' increasing symptoms from binocular vision dysfunction. We will provide further training on our specialty products and practice protocols, but optician experience is desired. We have an in-house lab with Santinelli edger. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in providing excellent customer service with unique products to improve patients’ lives.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 hours per week*
Schedule:
- Monday 11-7, Friday 9-5
