Optician Position – Boutique Optical + Medical Optometry
Optician position available immediately at Higashi Optical in Lemoyne, PA (Greater Harrisburg / Central PA)!
We are looking for an enthusiastic, fashion-forward optician to join our growing boutique optical. This position is primarily based at Higashi Optical in Lemoyne, PA, working three days per week in a modern, premium eyewear environment where exceptional customer service and personalized frame styling are the focus.
For candidates seeking a full-time career, we also have the opportunity to add two additional days per week at our affiliated medical optometry practice, Optometric Associates in New Holland, PA. This unique arrangement allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds—a luxury boutique optical experience combined with one of Central Pennsylvania's premier medical optometry practices.
Our established medical optometry practice has proudly served the New Holland community since 1980 and includes Dr. Jonathan Andrews, Dr. Kathryn Andrews, Dr. Tyler Alansky, Dr. Sarah Clisham, and Dr. Sal Porbandarwalla. Higashi Optical complements our medical practice by providing a carefully curated collection of premium eyewear and an elevated optical experience.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both fashion and healthcare—helping patients not only achieve their best vision but also feel confident in the eyewear they wear every day.

Responsibilities Include:
- Frame selection and styling with patients
- Optical sales and lens education (AR coatings, progressive lenses, specialty lenses, and more)
- Adjustments, fittings, and troubleshooting eyewear
- Order entry and verification of prescriptions
- Insurance understanding and optical benefit explanation
- Working collaboratively with doctors and the clinical team
- Supporting both locations as part of one unified team
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming optical environment
Position Structure:
Primary Position – Higashi Optical (Lemoyne, PA)
- Part-time, three days per week

Optional Additional Position – Optometric Associates (New Holland, PA)

- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Optometric Associates
- Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 P

Position Details:
Job Type: Primary position is part-time (3 days/week) at Higashi Optical, with the opportunity to expand to full-time by adding two days per week at Optometric Associates.
Salary: Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Additional Compensation:
