About the Practice:

Delran Eye Associates is a small Optometric practice that is looking to grow! We offer comprehensive eye exams, and contact lens exams, as well as manage and treat eye disease. Currently we have one doctor but with the help of a tech we hope to grow to be able to help more patients!

About the Position:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate team member to join our team at Delran Eye Associates. As an tech, you will assist our optometrist in conducting eye exams, performing diagnostic tests, and assisting with contact lens purchases. Your role will be essential in providing top-notch eye care services to our valued patients. The technical skills required for this position can be trained after hiring, just come ready to learn!

Salary and Benefits: 

Hourly rate depending on experience and performance.

401K benefit available after 6 months and 100% employer match for first 3% contribution.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a medical or eye care setting is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation for Eye Exams: Assist in preparing examination rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available for eye exams.
  • Pre-Testing: Conduct preliminary tests and screenings to gather patient information, including visual acuity, peripheral vision, and depth perception. 
  • Contact Lenses: Assist patients with contact lens insertion and removal training. As well as discussing pricing and help patients to purchase contacts.
  • Diagnostic Testing: Perform diagnostic tests such as retinal imaging and visual field testing as directed by the optometrist.
  • Patient Care: Provide exceptional customer service and patient care, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment.
