About the Opportunity

Professional opportunity for an Optometrist to join an established, premier MD/OD comprehensive eye care practice in Beverly Hills, California.  

This state-of-the-art, high-tech, MD/OD practice is dedicated to delivering high quality optical, medical, and surgical eye care to our patients.  The practice consists of one Ophthalmologist who works closely with the Optometrists, who are supported by an outstanding staff of ophthalmic technicians, highly skilled opticians, and administrative support staff.  This is a dynamic environment which enables qualified candidates to utilize their clinical expertise, training, and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional and compassionate patient care. Optometrists in the practice enjoy working in a professional environment where they can build strong doctor/patient relationships and experience professional growth.

We offer a competitive base salary with an additional bonus structure. Benefits include fully paid medical insurance premiums, paid personal time off including additional holidays, a 401K plan, Flexible Savings account (FSA), paid malpractice insurance, CME support with conference attendance, and paid parking. The practice is open Monday through Friday with the possibility of a four day/10 hour work week. (The office is closed on Sat/Sun). Part-time as well as full-time options are available.

Optometrists perform comprehensive eye care examinations including refractions, contact lens fitting, and diagnosis and management of ocular disease. There is a special emphasis on dry eye management.  Our Optometrists work closely with our in-house, modern, custom-built optical dispensary which offers a wide selection of the latest quality eyewear. 

The practice has state of the art technology including OCT, Optos, Visual fields, Topography, Zeiss iScription, Lipiflow and dry eye diagnostic testing.

About the Position

Duties include but are not limited to:

-Refracting patients, prescribing glasses, and directing patients to fully integrated state-of-the-art Optical Dispensary.

-Fit and prescribe contact lenses.

-Diagnose and treat eye problems, both refractive and medical including glaucoma.

-Manage dry eye patients.

About the Compensation

The practice has a generous benefits package including fully paid medical insurance, fully paid parking, paid time off, paid holidays, 401K plan, FSA plan, and commission based on performance.

The starting salary ranges from $132,000 to $140,000 annually.  Monthly commission averages $1000-$3000
