Optometrist - Full Time Open to Part-Time - Bishop, CA

Overview
- Full-time or Part-time available
- Average patient load: 12-18 patients per day
- Primary Focus: General Optometry, with an emphasis on medical and surgical care
- No optical sales or optical department
What You’ll Do:
As an Optometrist in our practice, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive eye exams to assess vision and eye health
- Diagnosing and managing various eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and routine vision correction
- Performing refractions and fitting contact lenses
- Utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment, including:
- 3 full ophthalmology lanes
- OCT
- Retinal camera
- Autorefractor
- Humphrey visual field
- Lensometer
- Collaborating closely with an MD and ophthalmic technicians to provide exceptional patient care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
- No sales or optical fitting – focus is entirely on medical optometry
What You’ll Need:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid optometry license
- Experience in general optometry is preferred, but we are open to new graduates
- Willingness to learn about glaucoma, cataract care, and other medical optometry specialties
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with a supportive team, but independently managing patient care
