Optometrist- Full-time open to Part-Time- Private Practice - Redwood, CA
About the Practice
Join a well-established, fully staffed optometry practice in Redwood City with more than 30 years of history. As part of a larger company with two locations and a strong, stable patient base, the practice offers a comfortable, supportive environment where doctors can focus on patient care. The practice is primarily focused on primary eye care and eyewear services.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and provide general optometric care
- See approximately one patient every 30 minutes
- Provide contact lens services and fittings
- Educate patients about their eye health and vision needs
- Recommend eyewear and products based on patient needs
- Complete necessary patient documentation and data entry
- Work a typical 10:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule
- Contribute productively from day one
Utilize cutting-edge technology and equipment, including:
- Optos
- Autorefractor
- Eye pressure testing equipment
- Full suite of pretesting technology
What You’ll Need:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and appropriate California licensure
- New graduates are welcome; prior experience is preferred
- General optometry knowledge and clinical skills
- Contact lens experience is helpful
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, patient-focused environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
You’ll Work Closely With:
- Optometric technicians who handle pretesting and reception
- Opticians
- A fully staffed optometry team
Compensation and Benefits:
- $650 per day
- Health care benefits

- 15 days paid vacation
- 5 days paid sick leave
- Full-time position; part-time opportunities may be considered
