Located in California’s Imperial Valley, El Centro offers a lower cost of living than many California markets and is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes from San Diego, providing access to weekend travel, dining, and coastal amenities. Free nearby housing with pool access is also included.
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking an Optometrist to provide high-quality patient care while practicing in a high-autonomy setting. Responsibilities include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and manage routine ocular conditions
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide primary care optometry services
- Utilize telemedicine tools as applicable
- Manage patient flow efficiently in a production-based environment
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Educate patients on vision health and treatment recommendations
- Deliver quality care while balancing clinical pace and productivity
Optometrist Job Requirements
- Active California Optometry License
Compensation
- 35% of collections
Typical earnings:
- $650–$1,000 per day
