Vision Institute is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Optometrist to join our collaborative OD/MD practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an optometrist who enjoys practicing medical optometry, managing ocular disease, and fitting specialty contact lenses while working alongside experienced optometrists and ophthalmologists.
We are a high-volume, medically focused practice dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care with an emphasis on ocular disease management, specialty contact lenses, dry eye treatment, and surgical co-management.
Job Description
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and manage ocular diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye disease, and other anterior and posterior segment conditions.
- Fit and manage specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses and keratoconus patients.
- Provide medical eye care utilizing advanced diagnostic technology.
- Co-manage cataract, refractive, and corneal procedures with our ophthalmology team.
- Develop and implement treatment plans while educating patients on their ocular health.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of optometrists, ophthalmologists, technicians, and support staff.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
- Active Colorado optometry license or ability to obtain licensure.
- Experience managing ocular disease and medically focused eye care.
- Experience fitting specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, preferred.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
