Practice great optometry care without practicing at high volume.
Edge Optics is looking for an Optometrist to join our independent, family-owned practice in the heart of downtown Fort Collins, Colorado.
Our model is intentionally patient-first: approximately 16–20 patients per day, 30-minute exams, advanced clinical technology, significant pre-testing support, and the autonomy to practice thoughtfully.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join an established practice with a loyal patient base, strong community presence, and a distinctly independent culture.
The position is primarily 3–4 days per week, with flexibility to discuss five days. Two Saturdays/month is expected, along with occasional coverage at our downtown Loveland location.
At Edge, a strong team supports doctors by completing much of the pre-testing and assisting with referrals and administrative details, so the OD can spend more of the day focused on patients.
Our doctors have access to advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including:
- OCT
- advanced retinal imaging
- dry-eye diagnostics
- IPL/RF treatments
- Comprehensive pre-testing support
We also want the person joining us to bring their own interests to the practice. If you have experience, or want to build deeper expertise, in dry eye, specialty contacts/cornea, sports vision, or another clinical area, we are interested in creating room for that growth!

Who We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you are:
- A licensed Optometrist or upcoming OD graduate eligible for Colorado licensure
- Able to commit to two Saturdays/month
- Patient-first and committed to high-quality care
- Curious and interested in continuing to grow clinically
- A strong communicator who is comfortable giving and receiving feedback
- Detail-oriented, collaborative, and dependable
- Communicates clearly and directly

Colorado licensure is preferred, but we are open to candidates relocating from other states.
Compensation
$77 - $81/hour, commensurate with experience and relevant specialty expertise. Additional referral-based compensation opportunities are available for LASIK, RF/IPL, and myopia-control patients.
