About Our Practice

At Georgia Vision Institute we are growing private practice in the West Georgia area. We have locations in Carrollton, Bremen, Douglasville and are opening a new office in Villa Rica as well as our own surgery center. We are an MD/OD model that allows our doctors to have tons of autonomy with their patients. We have a very family oriented team that allows you to grow your career with great opportunities, but also allows you with great time off and flexibility when needed. We are located around 30-45 minutes from Atlanta and surrounding areas, and the drive is against traffic both ways!

Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. Competitive salary with bonus, without a bonus cap! We are a full scope independent Ophthalmology and Optometry practice and are opening a new location in Villa Rica, GA. This location will have all new medical and exam equipment along with new stock of designer frames, frame boards, and furniture. Very family oriented and fast-growing company! Practice with tons of autonomy in a practice with a small-town medicine feel that is within 30-45 mins from Atlanta and surrounding areas. 

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams
  • Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
  • Prescribe corrective lenses
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
  • Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
  • Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
  • Handle eyecare emergencies

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Valid state license to practice optometry
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
  • Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
