Optometrist (OD) – School-Based Pediatric Vision Program

We are seeking passionate, kid-friendly Optometrists (OD) to join the Chicago Public School (CPS) School-Based Vision Program. In this rewarding role, you will provide comprehensive eye exams and glasses directly to students (Pre-K through High School) inside their schools during regular school hours. No evenings, no weekends, and no holidays! We offer ultimate scheduling flexibility to accommodate your availability and location. Full-Time, Part-Time, and Fill-in (W-2) positions are available.

What You Will Do
- Conduct comprehensive vision and eye health examinations for CPS students (Pre-K through 12th grade) within a school setting
Position Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry.
- Active Illinois Optometry License (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Strong clinical comfort level working with pediatric populations.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and managing common pediatric conditions such as binocular vision anomalies, amblyopia, accommodative disorders etc.
