Northern Illinois Optical, locally owned and serving our community in the heart of downtown Rockford, IL since 1949.
We have a permanent opportunity for an optometrist to join our award-winning patient care team with no night or weekend appointments.
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal optometrist is committed to providing high-quality vision care to our patients and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams and contact lens fittings
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice optometry in Illinois
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
