We work with long term care facilities to ensure that their older patients and residents aren’t abandoned in the system, and we empower our doctors to provide the best care possible. What You’ll Need:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
- Valid IN state license to practice optometry
- A personable nature-- someone who is welcoming and is able to have empathy for geriatric patients
- Availability to work, to drive, and desire to travel. This is a Mobile optometry position that travels to different skilled nursing facilities in the area, with an average of 30-45 minutes of driving a day.

Exposure: As our patient population is primarily geriatric, our doctors perform medical exams, refraction, and frame selection and fitting bedside, with the aid of a doctor’s assistant. We provide all of the equipment you would need in private practice, including revolution HR, fundus photo, visual field, and a portable OCT.
Fantastic Schedule: We are looking for a doctor to work for 3 days a week, typically 9 AM to 1 PM Monday to Friday, with no weekends! and the capacity to move up to full-time! We believe that for our doctors to provide the best care, they must be able to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Our doctors usually see 25 patients a day and some ODs see up to 30 patients.
