We are a growing low vision–focused optometry clinic in Indianapolis seeking a part-time OD to join our team 1-2 days a week. This is ideal for an OD looking for meaningful work, excellent work–life balance, and the opportunity to develop or expand low vision and bioptic driving skills.

Schedule

  • Every Monday and/or every Wednesday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
  • Maximum 12 patients per day
  • No evenings or weekends

Practice Highlights

  • Dedicated low vision clinic with a mix of new evaluations and established follow-ups
  • You will be the only doctor on-site, working with:
    • Two fully equipped exam lanes
    • Experienced staff support
  • In-house optical dispensary
  • Diagnostic equipment includes:
    • Autorefractor
    • Humphrey Visual Field
    • Topcon Maestro 2
  • Electronic Medical Records
  • Trained medical billing staff

Training & Support

  • Job training and mentorship provided
  • We are happy to train:
    • Doctors new to low vision
    • Doctors interested in learning bioptic driving
  • No pressure for high-volume care; our appointment times are appropriate for low vision patients

Compensation

  • Competitive daily per diem
  • W-2 employee position

Ideal Candidate

  • Licensed Optometrist in Indiana
  • Interest in low vision rehabilitation (experience preferred but not required)
  • Comfortable spending time with patients and providing education and counseling
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Open to learning specialty care and working collaboratively with staff
  • Comfort managing patients with ocular disease such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, inherited retinal diseases, and neurologic vision loss
