New and recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply — mentorship is a core value at Prairie View Eyecare.
About Us
Prairie View Eyecare is an independent, boutique optometry practice in The District at Prairie Trail — one of the most vibrant, walkable neighborhoods in the Des Moines metro. We opened in 2022 with a clear mission: deliver elevated, relationship-based eye care in a community that deserves it.
We've been recognized with the CommunityVotes Platinum Award, and we're growing fast — not because we push volume, but because we do things right.
Our clinical environment includes OptiLight IPL and OptiLift (Lumenis), OCT, and a full-scope medical and optical platform featuring boutique brands like Tom Ford, Maui Jim, Ray-Ban, and Dolce&Gabbana.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an OD who is eager to grow — clinically, professionally, and personally. We believe independent private practice is one of the best environments for a new grad to develop strong clinical habits, build real patient relationships, and find their voice as a doctor. We're structured to support exactly that.

- Genuine patient-centered care and strong clinical instincts
- Comfortable working independently while being a true team contributor
- Curiosity about new technology and a desire to keep growing clinically
- Someone who wants to be part of something bigger than a schedule of exams
Growth Potential
Prairie View Eyecare is a young, growing practice with a clear vision for the future. For the right person, there is genuine potential for expanded clinical leadership and long-term growth — something we're open to exploring as the relationship develops.
