What You’ll Need:
Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
Valid Iowa optometry license
Full-scope clinical capabilities with a medical-focused mindset
Strong communication skills and a patient-first approach
Friendly, adaptable, and team-oriented personality
Ability to manage a dynamic clinical environment and adjust as needed

You’ll practice full-scope optometry in a busy, well-supported private practice with a strong emphasis on medical care (approximately 60% medical / 40% primary care). You’ll diagnose and manage a wide range of conditions, including:
Glaucoma
Foreign body removal
Dry eye disease
General ocular health conditions
Patients of all ages
And more
You’ll typically see approximately 4 patients per hour with full technician support handling patient workups, allowing you to focus on exams and clinical care.

Support:
The practice is supported by a highly trained and efficient team, including:
Technicians who perform patient workups
Optical staff handling glasses and contact lens sales
Administrative and front desk support
After onboarding and training, providers operate independently while still benefiting from a strong support system.
Schedule:
Full-time position
Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM First Patient – 4:45 PM Last Patient
No Fridays or weekends
4-day workweek
