Wood Eye Care & Associates in Paducah, Kentucky, is seeking a Kentucky-licensed optometrist for fill-in and recurring coverage. Bring your clinical skills to an established practice with trained scribes, a collaborative team, and a focus on full-scope optometry.
COMPENSATION THAT REWARDS YOUR WORK
Earn a $600 daily minimum or 25% of the net service revenue you generate, whichever is greater, calculated across each pay period. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.

Our immediate need includes Monday–Thursday coverage during November, with ongoing Friday and Saturday opportunities as well. Interested in a few dates or a recurring schedule? Let’s talk. You don’t need to cover every available day.
PRACTICE WITH SUPPORT
• Trained scribes assist with documentation so you can focus on patient care.
• An established patient base provides opportunities to build meaningful relationships.
• Full-scope care includes comprehensive eye exams and evaluation and management of ocular disease.
• A collaborative team values learning, clear communication, and thorough care.
YOUR ROLE
Provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage eye conditions within your scope of practice, explain findings and treatment options to patients, and coordinate follow-up care and referrals when needed. Work with your scribe and office team to maintain accurate records and a positive patient experience.
WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU
You’ll need a Doctor of Optometry degree and an active Kentucky optometry license. We’re looking for someone who enjoys medical eye care, communicates warmly with patients, and works well with a team.
