Opportunity:
Lafayette Eye Specialists are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality eye care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat vision problems
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids as needed
- Identify and manage eye diseases and conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
- Work with patients to develop treatment plans and provide education on eye health and preventative care
- Collaborate with the owning physician and other outside healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited program
- Current state license to practice optometry
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
