Opticare is a group private practice with three full-time optometrist/owners and two locations in northern Minnesota—East Grand Forks and Crookston. We are looking for a full-time optometrist to help meet strong patient demand for service, and to help facilitate the transition of two of our doctors toward retirement. Our offices provide cutting-edge services and products to our patients using the latest technology and treatment modalities. We practice with a high degree of delegation to our well trained, friendly team members.
We have a management team that works with our doctors to lead and guide our team members and the practice. Our Clinical Manager oversees our optometric technicians and deals closely with our pharmaceutical and contact lens vendors. Our Optical Manager supervises our opticians, manages our eyeglass frame inventory, our in-house production lab, and communicating with frame and lens vendors. Our Financial Manager oversees our front office and back office which includes reception, bookkeeping, billing, accounts payable, marketing and administers human resources for the practice. We have an Office Manager in our Crookston office that coordinates with the other managers in East Grand Forks daily. These amazing team members give our doctors the freedom to do what we do best—care for patients!
Our offices have been serving the East Grand Forks, MN and Grand Forks, ND communities since 1978 and the Crookston community since 1996. These two locations have grown steadily over the years into what is recognized as one of the leading eyecare facilities in the area. We have great relationships with surgeons, primary care physicians, and other medical specialists to provide seamless care to our patients.
Grand Forks, ND, and East Grand Forks, MN, collectively form a dynamic metropolitan area with a range of attractions and amenities.
Grand Forks, ND, boasts a thriving educational hub with the University of North Dakota, offering diverse academic programs and research opportunities. Its strong economy, beautiful natural surroundings along the Red River and vibrant cultural scene make it an attractive place to live, work, and visit.
On the other side of the river, East Grand Forks, MN, offers a close-knit community atmosphere, scenic riverfront views, and family-friendly amenities. With its array of outdoor recreational activities, arts and cultural events, locally-owned businesses as well as Northland Community and Technical College, East Grand Forks provides a charming small-town experience.
Together, these sister cities offer the best of both worlds: the urban conveniences and opportunities of Grand Forks, ND, complemented by the community spirit and natural beauty of East Grand Forks, MN. Residents and visitors enjoy a diverse range of experiences, from bustling city life to serene greenway retreats along the river, making the Grand Forks-East Grand Forks area a truly exceptional place to call home.
We relocated our clinic in Crookston to a larger, newly renovated space in the past year, and we see opportunities for continued growth there as well as in our East Grand Forks Clinic. Also, two of our optometrists are ready to start reducing their days per week in the clinic.
All of this adds up to the need for an additional optometrist. We believe that it creates a great opportunity to an OD looking for an associate position now, with the possibility of moving into ownership in a reasonable length of time if everything is mutually agreeable.
We offer excellent financial compensation, generous time-off policies, paid holidays, retirement benefits and group-health benefits with a health savings account. We also pay for required continuing education and Optometric license renewal fees.
Call, text, or email if you would like to visit about this position. We look forward to hearing from you!
