Responsibilities:
Our Optometrists work closely with the rest of the optical team to identify customer needs and provide recommendations on the best options for them. We are looking for someone with a go-getter attitude, a knowledge of fitting and dispensing eyewear, and a passion for eyewear fashion and sales. If you have experience measuring KPIs, setting goals and crushing them while providing amazing eye care services, we would love to speak with you!
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' visual acuity and overall eye health.
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses or contact lenses based on patients' lifestyle needs.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and recommend preventive measures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic systems such as Epic.
- Stay informed about advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in an optometry or ophthalmology practice, and is willing to learn new skills and techniques. We foster a team environment where everyone supports in all functions and roles as needed to assist with patient care and flow of business.
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state license to practice optometry in MO.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as Epic.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compensation:
This is a salary position paid semi-monthly. Quarterly bonuses available.
