About Our Practice
Acuity Eyecare is a well established practice on the Massachusetts/New Hampshire border. Salem New Hampshire is a growing town with many new attractions and residential opportunities. Our office is minutes to the major highways; less than 1 hour to the Boston or Seacoast and only 90 minutes to the White Mountains. We provide full scope care to Salem and the surrounding communities. Our ideal candidate is someone confident in Primary Care, has strong interpersonal skills and desires to be part of a private practice with the possibility of future ownership.
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eyecare emergencies
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
