At Acuity Eye Care, we believe eye care should feel different.

We are a modern, patient-first practice focused on delivering exceptional care, meaningful relationships, and long-term eye health for the families we serve in Salem and Southern New Hampshire.

This is not a high-volume, transactional environment.
We are building something intentional—where providers have the time, tools, and support to practice at a high level without burning out.

Who We Are

Acuity Eye Care is a well-established practice with deep roots in the community, now entering an exciting new phase of growth and modernization.

We are focused on:

  • Personalized, relationship-driven care
  • Long-term patient outcomes over short-term volume
  • A calm, professional, and welcoming environment
  • Building a team that genuinely cares about people

Our goal is simple:
Be the most trusted local provider for eye care—with a human touch.

The Role

We are looking for an Optometrist who wants more than just a job.

This role is for someone who:

  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality, thorough care
  • Enjoys building relationships with patients over time
  • Wants to be part of a practice that is growing and improving
  • Values autonomy, but also thrives in a strong team environment

You will have the opportunity to practice full-scope optometry in a setting that supports you—not rushes you.

Why This Role Works (Work-Life Balance)

We believe great providers do their best work when they are not stretched thin.

  • Structured schedules designed to allow time with each patient
  • No pressure to hit unrealistic volume targets
  • Consistent hours with predictable scheduling
  • A team that supports each other so the day runs smoothly
  • An environment where you can do great work—and still have a life outside of it

This is a place where you can build a meaningful career without sacrificing your personal life to do it.

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision evaluations
  • Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and disease
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and treatment plans
  • Educate patients on long-term eye health and prevention
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

What Makes This Role Different

  • Quality over quantity — no assembly-line care
  • Strong support staff — allowing you to focus on patients
  • Established patient base with consistent demand
  • Modernizing systems and workflows for efficiency
  • Leadership that understands service-based businesses and invests in growth
  • A structure that supports long-term sustainability, not burnout

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary (based on experience)
  • Performance-based incentives
  • Health insurance contribution (up to $4,000 annually)
  • Paid time off + additional flexibility when needed
  • Support for continuing education and professional growth
  • Long-term growth opportunities within the practice

Who You Are

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New Hampshire
  • Patient-focused with strong communication skills
  • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Committed to delivering a high standard of care
  • Someone who takes ownership and cares about their work
