Lumos Eyecare, inside Costco Bridgewater, is looking for an associate OD ready to grow into a true partner in practice - not just a chair-filler.
What makes this different: We’re not a volume mill. We’re a specialty-driven practice built around dry eye, myopia management, orthokeratology, and scleral lenses - with the technology to back it up (OptiLIGHT, OptiPLUS, OptiLIFT, Prokera, BlephEx, Nulids, Ocumetra myopia risk reporting, and more). The opportunity:
- Position type: 1099 Contractor
- Schedule: Right now, $400 half-day Sundays, 10am-2pm and alternating Fridays, 9am-3pm; January 2027 option for part-time/full-time hours/pay other days as the practice expands (2 exam lanes and a separate dry eye suite)
- Pay: 10% profit sharing - additional $50+ daily easily achievable
- Pace: 2 patients/hour, no double-booking or rushed visits; medical visits are 1-2 patients/hr
- Real mentorship in medical optometry - hands-on training in dry eye protocols, myopia control, scleral lens fitting, and amniotic membrane therapy (Prokera) alongside Dr. Amjad, Dr. Patel, and Dr. Gajera
- Collaborative, referral-friendly environment - dry eye and myopia/scleral cases are handled in-house, not shipped out
- Modern EHR, streamlined workflows, and support staff who know how to move
- Costco’s foot traffic and retail relationship, without sacrificing clinical depth

About Dr. Sran: Dr. Kiranjeet Sran is the owner of Lumos Eyecare and an active voice in the optometry specialty space. She’s a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Lumenis in dry eye, an AOA/CooperVision Myopia Change Agent for NJ, and has spoken at events including the CooperVision Costco MiSight Summit and NJSOP chapter meetings. She’s completed 20+ peer-to-peer consultations helping other doctors build out dry eye specialties in their own practices. Dr. Sran built Lumos Eyecare around the belief that corporate-sublease optometry doesn’t have to mean sacrificing clinical depth - this is a practice for doctors who want to go deep on specialty care, not just see volume.
