About Our Practice
I am looking for an OD to work at either of two practices within the South Jersey area. I am looking for Tuesdays and/or Saturdays at either location. The practice settings are a privately owned Pearle Vision and a private practice, Vutt Optical.
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
I am searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eyecare emergencies
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
Compensation and Benefits
I reward my doctors with competitive salaries. I am very open to making things as least stressful as possible for my ODs. I also will bonus my doctors based on production.
I started my own practice 25 years ago and have extensive experience in all aspects of optometric business. I feel it is a great opportunity for an OD to learn the business side also, and it has the potential to lead to a permanent partner position in the future.
