Optometrist – Private Practice – 4-Day Workweek + 3-Day Weekends – Socorro, NM- $150,000-$200,000

A family-owned private practice in Socorro, NM is seeking an Optometrist to join its team. This is a great opportunity to practice full-scope optometry in a supportive, patient-centered environment with a flexible schedule and strong growth potential.
Position Overview:
This role offers a mix of routine and medical optometry, providing care to a diverse patient population of all ages. The practice emphasizes quality care, flexibility, and a collaborative team approach.
Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday–Sunday: Closed
- Full-time preferred; part-time considered
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive eye exams
- Diabetic eye care and medical optometry
- Dry eye diagnosis and treatment
- Contact lens fittings (soft and specialty lenses)
- Opportunity to work with an onsite optical
Patient Volume:
- Flexible scheduling
- Typically 12–15 patients on shorter days
- 15–18 patients on longer days
Technology & Equipment:
- OCT
- Visual Field Analyzer
- Fundus camera
- Topographer
- Autorefractor
- IPL for dry eye treatment
- Low-level light therapy
Team Environment:
You’ll work alongside an experienced and supportive team, including:
- 1 Optometrist
- Technicians and scribes
- Patient care coordinator
- Opticians
Compensation & Benefits:

What We’re Looking For:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree (or pending)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in New Mexico (or pending)
- Open to both new graduates and experienced ODs
