Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Optometrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, committed to staying current with advancements in eye care, and eager to contribute to a supportive, collaborative environment.
This is a full-time opportunity with flexibility between two Brooklyn locations:
- Wednesdays and Fridays at one location
- Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays at the second location
Your regular duties will include:
- Performing comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease
- Glaucoma management
- Prescribing corrective lenses
- Providing pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery
- Promoting healthy vision through patient education
- Handling eye care emergencies
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Strong sense of professionalism and personal ethics
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
