East Avenue Vision Center is seeking a passionate, caring optometrist to join our team.
*Looking for a part-time associate 1-2 days a week, which could eventually turn into a full-time position if desired in the future.
We are a small independent private practice, with an effective, friendly staff and the latest technology and leading-edge high-quality eyewear. We provide primary care optometry and specialize in binocular vision and vision therapy. We have the diagnostic tools for the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease to the fullest scope allowed in NY. We provide care to all ages, infants to seniors. We book every 30-45 minutes, average 12 full exams a day (typically 8-16 exams depending on the day). A tech works up patients before seeing the doctor. We have a full scope of diagnostic equipment: Eidon ultra wide field camera, OCT, AdaptDx, Neurolens, Humphrey Visual Field, FDT, iCare, Goldmann tonometry, in-house edging, etc.
We are a well-established practice of over 45 years serving the Lockport community and surrounding areas. Dr. Shaw purchased the practice in March 2019 and has taken the practice into the 21st century. We have built a strong foundation and culture over the years and strive for improvement personally, professionally, and as a team. We treat our patients the way we would like to be treated and treat each team member as we do our valued patients. We educate our patients about their vision condition and treatment options so they can actively participate in their care. We emphasize preventive, developmental, and rehabilitative vision care to enhance visual comfort and performance and to enable our patients to realize their full potential. Lockport is a close-knit community filled with friendly, pleasant patients. Buffalo is a great place to raise a family (and be a Bills fan!)
Looking for an optometrist who is either (or a combination of):
- Eager to learn and develop skills in binocular vision/behavioral optometry.
- Interested in specialty contact lens fitting, to supplement the myopia management and therapeutic lens prescribing involved in behavioral optometry.
- Interested in full-scope primary care optometry and referring in-house for binocular vision/functional vision evaluations.
Competitive salary (base + % production).
No weekends.
