About the Practice
Hudson Spectacles has earned our great reputation by providing Nyack and the surrounding lower Hudson Valley communities with the highest quality of care and eyewear for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on operating as a community-oriented, family-friendly, full-service independent optometric-optical boutique.
We are looking for an Optometrist who is an all-around rockstar to join our patient-focused practice on a part-time basis! Full time is possible as we grow the program together and we are always open to new ideas.
With P/E purchasing many practices recently, patients are having a hard time finding that warm patient-focused eye care in an un-rushed setting. We have a beautiful artistically designed exam lane, with great lighting that is ready for an optometrist looking for a place to grow & practice. Check us out and lets grow together! -Carl
About the Optometrist Position
As an Optometrist in our practice, your regular duties will include:
- Perform pre testing & comprehensive eye exams.
- Contact Lens Fitting and Exams.
- Refractions.
- Co-manage with our network of Ophthalmologists.
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients & community.
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress.
- Handle minor eye care emergencies.
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree.
- Valid NY state license to practice optometry.
- Average patient load of 1-2 patients per hour.
- Team player with exceptional chair side manner.
- Responsible & On-time.
