A modern, community-focused private practice in Smithfield, NC is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice full-scope optometry in an established, supportive environment with a strong patient base, advanced technology, and significant earning potential.
The practice offers a medically focused patient population, with approximately 40% of visits involving medical eye care and ocular disease management. Both experienced Optometrists and upcoming graduates are encouraged to explore this opportunity.
Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No regular weekend hours
- Four-day workweek option available
- Flexible scheduling options
Clinical Responsibilities
- Comprehensive eye examinations
- Ocular disease diagnosis and management
- Medical eye care
- Contact lens evaluations and fittings, including soft, multifocal, hybrid, RGP, and scleral lenses
- Myopia management
- Dry eye diagnosis and treatment
- Post-operative care
The ideal candidate enjoys full-scope optometry and has strong clinical skills and an interest in managing ocular disease.
Technology & Team Support
Practice with modern diagnostic technology, including:
- OCT
- Optos retinal imaging
- Visual field testing
- Corneal topography
- Anterior segment camera
- Digital phoropters
You'll work alongside an experienced team of Optometrists, technicians, opticians, and additional support staff. With an established patient base and a full schedule from day one, this opportunity offers the ability to focus on patient care while building a rewarding career.
