We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including eye examinations, diagnosis of visual disorders, and prescribing corrective lenses. The Optometrist will also play a key role in educating patients about eye health and ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care, and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
- Diagnose and treat various visual disorders, including refractive errors.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision aids as necessary.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular check-ups.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform Retinal Imaging with Eidon equipment.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
