Established in 1977, our practice has been delivering exceptional eye care to Chester County for over four decades. Based in Thorndale, PA, the practice provides comprehensive eye care services for patients of all ages in a welcoming and relaxed environment.
We are committed to enhancing the quality of vision and comfort for every patient, upholding our reputation for excellence in eye care. Our multi-specialty ophthalmic practice, encompassing ophthalmology and optometry, is currently seeking a motivated and provisional Optometrist to join our team.
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
Our new OD will be a welcome addition to our team and family. You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal candidate for the optometrist position is entrepreneurial, treats patients in a caring and friendly manner, is a team player, and solutions-oriented. We will provide mentorship and training by our experienced doctors to help with the transition into the practice.
This is a full-time opportunity!
Your regular duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Handle eyecare emergencies
- Dry eye
- Diabetic eye exams
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree (or pending)
- Valid state license to practice optometry (or pending)
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
