Optometrist – Full-Time – Full Scope Medical Based Private Practice – Conway, SC

Our practice a family-owned, full-scope private practice that has served the Conway and Myrtle Beach communities for over 40 years. With six optometrists currently on staff and continued growth, we are excited to add two full-time ODs to our collaborative, medically focused team.
What You’ll Need
- Valid South Carolina optometry license (or pending with boards)
- Interest in medical optometry and disease management
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-first mindset

Do what you love — practice full-scope optometry without sales pressure. Our doctors focus entirely on patient care while our experienced team handles the rest.
- Full-time position with flexible scheduling
- Typical hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, approximately one Saturday per month on a rotating schedule
- Flexible schedules available (4–5 days per week)
- Average patient volume: 30–35 patients per day
- Ramp-up period provided
- In-house digital surfacing lab in a separate building
- Extensive medical and co-management exposure with a MD center across the practice that works closely with our ODs
Our practice is fully equipped with modern technology, including OCT, fundus photography, visual fields, ERG, dry eye equipment, A-scan, B-scan, and more. With 16 fully equipped exam lanes, you’ll have everything you need to practice at the highest level.

Supportive, experienced staff makes all the difference. You’ll work with:
- Dedicated technicians and a scribe for each OD
- Front desk and clinical teams that allow you to focus on exams and recommendations
- A multi-OD environment — never practicing alone
- An established externship is at our practice so lots of opportunity for mentorship and growth for a new graduate if they join and room to mentor and help if you are experienced.
We welcome ODs who want to grow or develop niche interests such as pediatrics or medical subspecialties.
Compensation
- 1099 Independent Contractor position
- Production bonus opportunity
- High earning potential with no overhead or management responsibilities
