Jones Family Eyecare is a growing private practice optometry clinic with two locations in the Sioux Falls, SD area. Sioux Falls is the largest city in South Dakota which has abundant amenities. It is a wonderful place to raise a family with excellent schools. South Dakota has no state income tax and offers a high quality of life with low cost of living. We provide the best patient care possible by using the most up to date equipment such as digital refracting systems, Optos retinal camera, visual field, OCT, and more.
Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities
We are searching for a talented OD to join our growing practice who is passionate about patient care! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. The ideal OD candidate is committed to delivering quality patient care and is eager to learn and develop their clinical skillset. Your regular duties will include:
- 4 Days per week (3.5 days/week summer hours). No weekend or evening hours.
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
- Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills
Compensation and Benefits
We reward our doctors with a very competitive salary (commensurate with experience) and a comprehensive benefit package which includes:
- $140,000 - $160,000 annual salary + bonus
