Optometrist - Full Time - Full Scope Private Practice - Ashburn, VA

We are a full-scope private practice committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care while utilizing advanced technology and offering a wide range of specialty services. About the optometrist position
We are seeking a personable and motivated optometrist to join our Ashburn team. This location primarily serves young families and children, making it an excellent opportunity for a doctor who enjoys pediatric care. Experience with binocular vision is a plus but is not required. We are looking for someone who is passionate about practicing full-scope optometry while building lasting relationships with patients.
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Saturday hours (8:00 AM to 2:00 PM) are optional and may be used as an alternate workday if needed.
As an optometrist in our practice, you will be expected to:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations
- Diagnose and manage ocular disease
- Perform diabetic eye exams
- Provide primary eye care and medical optometry services
- Fit contact lenses, including specialty contact lenses
- Manage myopia control patients
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Build strong doctor-patient relationships
- Collaborate with an experienced clinical support team
Our technicians complete all pre-testing and enter patient information into the EHR, allowing our doctors to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making. New graduates are welcome to apply and will receive mentorship and training alongside current OD before transitioning to independent practice.
Our practice is fully equipped with advanced technology including OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, Myopia Master, modern exam lanes, and electronic health records.
We offer a competitive salary, with higher compensation available based on experience. Doctors receive either their guaranteed base salary or a % of production (whichever is greater), with production bonuses paid quarterly.
