Our practice has proudly served patients of the south Atlanta metro area for almost two decades. We recognize our purpose and passionately serve each patient as if they are members of our own immediate family. We bring compassion to our patients by recognizing each patient as an individual first and tailoring treatment programs accordingly. We offer a range of services and treatment plans - everything from co-managing obesity and diabetes to simply providing the best vision possible in eyewear or contact lenses.
We are looking for a positive, business-minded, and hard-working Optometrist to join our friendly and supportive team on a part-time basis!
About the Optometrist Position
Our new Optometrist will be a key member of our team! You'll use your clinical and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality vision care to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to gain diverse experience in a patient-focused role that is both medically-oriented with involvement in optical sales as well!
As an Optometrist in our practice, your regular duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease, such as managing glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and hypertensive patients and/or has a passion for corneal surface disease
- Adept at treating keratoconus, fitting scleral contact lenses, and myopia control using Orthokeratology
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
- Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and progress
- Handle eye care emergencies
Optometrist Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
- Valid GA state license to practice optometry
- At least one year of experience practicing optometry
- Optimistic, open-minded, and adaptable personality
- Strong communication and leadership skills
