We are a fast growing ophthalmology practice with offices in Los Angeles and Orange County that is seeking a medically trained optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience evaluating diabetic, cataract and glaucoma patients. The position will be located in the Los Angeles mid-Wilshire area.
Duties:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction, and ocular health evaluations
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids based on the results of eye exams.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and more.
- Prescribe medications, eye drops, or other treatments as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including examination findings, treatment plans, and prescribed medications.
- Educate patients about their eye health, the importance of regular eye exams, and proper eye care practices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
